In response to Josiah Mills, I am curious what basis you have for your statements?

I practiced Aikido (but eventually decided it was not for me, and moved on) and I can say that you have no grasp over its studies.

Please try and remember that because you recommend those other arts (all of which I have practiced by the way), you don’t necessarily know what Aikido is about, or because you’ve seen it in Steven Segal movies, it doesn’t mean that you’re capable of distinguishing a lock, a throw or an immobilization as far as Aikido is concerned. I just thought that I should point that out.

Oh, it may occur to you in the future that using a web forum probably isn’t the best place for advertising, in addition to which, advertising tends not to have its desired effect when you insult the art practiced by your demographic. Telling people that they are stupid for practicing something that they love to do is not necessarily going to get them to do what you want them to.

Also, think about the possibility that people want to learn martial arts for other reasons than just fighting.
