I have been studing AIKIDO for a while now and I need to say that it is a wonderful art and i really enjoy it. Many claim that aikido is not effective in a real confrontation, i happen to think that it is what the student does with the art. Many people may say this because they have seen aikidoist practice very dully, they treat it like a joke. At the dojo where i attend we train a lot more realistic with modified techniques to keep us on the edge.
