That’s a great idea, Leon! I think you’re right! I have seen marathon runners absolutely destroy boxers because of their physical condition and ‘running’ style. You are unbelievable! Where do you get this stuff?!

I have been in real fights, dancerboy, and there’s nowhere to run when I get stung with a punch in the ring. “Fight or flight” is for the untrained! Do you really believe that every time De La Hoya gets hit in the face, he thinks of running to his corner, jumping over the ropes and getting the hell out of there? Boxers and Thai boxers train to take punishment. These styles are better because we train like we fight. Being able to function while hurt is a key part of training unique to these styles. How can you tell me that Aikido stylists or Capoieristas can take punches like a boxer when they don’t train for it?

You know nothing of boxing or Thai boxing. The targets I mentioned are our bread and butter. You can call them “irresponsible” and “cowardly” because they scare you, but for us, it’s just the way things are. We don’t die when we take those blows because we train to take them, but they hurt, that’s for sure. Do you see what I’m getting at? Training is everything, style is everything, and according to you, a matter of life and death.

You’re still making assumptions about people. I can’t say how many people can handle MMA any more than you can. It doesn’t make me foolish to reject these assumptions, it shows you to be foolish.

You lost me on that groin kick comment. Groin kicks are illegal, though we do train to defend against them.
