To start I am a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo, a second keub (currently) in hapkido and I have studyied capoeira for a year. As a student of capoeira, it has several applicable fighting techniques. Many of the stances and kicks are similar to roundhouse, wheel, and crossing kicks of taekwondo.

The jenga or the dance that is your basis for attacks is more dynamic and fluid than linear stances allowing for a more dodging and less blocking. I think capoeira is great for conditioning and allowing variety in fighting. It began in brazil being called capoeira, it WAS BASED on Angolan tribal dances from africa.
