Goju-kai is the only martial arts I took and I did it for 5 years in 1994 - 1999 in Richmond (Steveston), B.C., Canada. I stopped because of University. It was really good to learn and I enjoyed competing in tournaments and the kata. I hear a lot of people saying that karate in general doesn’t compare to other Martial arts such as Muay Thai or boxing but all I have to say is that it’s the person and not the style, no martial arts is superior to another.
