Yes, Hapkido can be used for street fighting. Systems vary, but the one I have studied, under Grandmaster Kwang Seek Hyun in Chicago, is one that focuses on the psychology of the street fighter. Hapkido incorporates some of the kicks and elbow strikes of Muay Thai, but it also incorporates grappling, joint locks, throws, and weapons training that are common to Jiu-jujutsu, Judo, and other martial arts.
