regarding 95% kicking and striking, that is what happens when you have tae kwon do instructors demonstrating what they call “hapkido”
most of the traditional and modern branches of hapkido have extensive throwing and locking- as the core of their system - there is usually a balance of striking, kicking, throwing, submissions and practical self-defense
