Zion,
You are clearly an idiot. Do not express opinions or data on an art you do understand.
Thus you warrant a lecture.
A) First. ‘Iai’-'Do’ is the sport version. - ‘Do’. sport.
b) Second. ‘Iai’-'Jutsu’, is the non sport version, is the art of taking off a head, or arm so fast the strike cannot be seen or stopped. Be in no doubt it is arguably the most lethal of all weapon arts. (So long as one does not consider advanced gun use to be a martial art).
Iai-do or Jutsu was and is frequently practised between two skilled artists. To call them assasins betreys only ignorace.
To be fast in Iaijutsu is to refine the self.
One must be both of ego, to belive in victory with no doubt or slowness of reaction time, but to be humble when confronted with mistakes.
As Mushasi was to dueling, so Master Koto was perhaps the greatest of all Iai artists.
I will post a summary for expansion of the article, and details on Kata.
