J K D sounds awesome although in reality its not a martial arts but a series of concepts to consider when learning martial arts. As well as studying the most effective techniques of various martial arts in jkd class the learner is encouraged to learn the best techniques of others .

Then when the student leans to adapt all these ideas to different fighting situations he or she learns to keep the techniques most usefull to them and disregard the rest. The student finds his own style with the principles of jkd as a guide
