bjj is not more vicious than traditonal jiu jitsu bjj is more a sport. i love bjj but the most practical form of jiu jitsu wuld have to b hakko ryu ( american ) jiu jitsu in incorporates everything and is designed for the street. it excels in defense aginst multiple attacks and knife/club attacks.
