Kali is one powerful art IMHO. It emphasizes footwork, reflexes, sensitivity, and the four ranges of combat. The principles of Kali can be transferred to other weapons and other arts. Kali is a relatively new term meant to be a departure from Spanish terminology and it is supposed to include all Filipino Martial Arts. Some of the actual names of theses arts were Arnes, escrima, espada daga due to the Spanish influence in the Filipines.
