The thing I find that I like about Kenpo, I currently am enrolled in Combined Kenpo, is the different hand-strikes and the way my specific teacher has evolved his inserts and the vast quantity of akward strike (my favorite being the chicken wrist)

I took Kenpo at a different school when I was younger and although they were similar, they also differed in some many ways. I came to find out later that Kenpo is very well known for it’s diversity and relaxed position of allowing fighters and practioners to develop the skills that suit them best. I think this is because it is so popular in the U.S.A. and has become Americanized. From what I’ve read tradtional Kenpo Karate in the East is actually very strict.
