KM does have stances, we call the “Outlet” stances i.e. whatever stance you are in when you begin your technique. I don’t understand where this idea that we don’t have stances has come from. We just don’t always train from a figthing stance as I said earlier you may not have that luxury in a real situation. You may be sitting on the tube when attacked. That may be the stance you are given. Of course boxers can punch better it’s all they do. TKD people kick, BJJ guys grapple. There is no preference in KM. It is just a survival sytem (The best I have seen in 20 years of MA). Whatever can get you out of there alive is our technique.
