Just like to add my two cents and say that I did a weekend course in Krav Maga and trying to compare it to other martial arts in a competitive context is a complete no-brainer!!

It’s meant for the street, where it’s muggers and rapists(usually armed) who you’re competing against not with a student or master of another discipline.

I’d like to know what “stance” a mugger with a knife uses, just in case I see one in the Dojo….
