Just re-read, and thought I should qualify my post:
The standup fighting, i.e., punching, movement (bobbing and weaving), defense (blocks and parries (sp?)) and counters are all “boxing based” as well. Are we as good at it as a boxer who trains solely boxing 3-5-7 days a week? Hell no. But the technique is essentially the same, and therefore, skill levels being equal, I’d give a krav practitioner more than a fighting chance (pardon the pun) against a boxer - even in the ring, for 3-5 rounds with rules.
