Have you ever seen a boxer fight on the ground? Typically not pretty if they aren’t trained. It sounds as though you don’t know much about KM - We are taught to defend, simultaneously counter attack and (rather violently) put an end to the threat.
Doesn’t matter whether that threat is coming in the form of punches from a boxer, or a handgun in the temple … As for your condescending translation comment - You did say it was not a ring sport; I simply meant that the ring is the only place a boxer would have an advantage.
