I am a martial arts student from Germany an just recently achieved the rank of 2nd Dan in the Kuroi Ryu Ninjitsu style. It is right that Ninjitsu was influenced by these traditional martial arts from Japan. But it has taken the advantages of all and formed an own style of weaponless fighting calles Taijitsu. In fact it is the base of Ninjistu an weapon skills make up the huge variety. There probably exists no “Ninja” that ist proficient with every weapon.
Further I just want to add another representative of Ninjitsu: Grandmaster Ashida Kim of the Kuroi Ryu Ninjitsu which has become a unique but nevertheless popular martial art even outside of Japan.
