OK that may be the best disciption of savate yet. TKD has a rich Korean backgroud which does include Karate and Chinese martial arts.

Not to be completely off topic but all of you say that savate had no Asian martial art help, but just said it was re-made with judo and karate.

Savate sounds like Kick-boxing, so maybe it is just kick-boxing, but French-erized(?).
