savate has evolved since this photo of charles charlemont .this evolution began with the inclusion of english boxing @ the 20th century before that savate was for show and asthetics .if you visit a salle today in france be prepared for training that is comparable to mauy thai. i have trained in both and some thai fighters think they are the kings of striking arts but if they visit a savate gym they should prepare for a very rude awakening.
