I disagree, lad gorg;
Here are pictures describing the very kick I was talking about that is consistent in Asian Martial Arts where the hand is down and to the rear of the individual when they preform certain kicks:

Now I know that is may be currently taught to keep your hands up when you kick in Tae Kwon Do, but it is evident that in this single picture that they have and currently do indeed possess kicks that have the hands down. As I have said before, Since Bruce Lee many styles adopted his philosophy regarding useage of the body and equiptment, so I don’t believe you can compare past picts (savate) to current teachings (modern taught Taekwondo)
And not to sound arrogant, because like I said in my previous post, that I am not martial arts expert. And I do apologize in advance if what I am about to say is taken as offensive.
Taekwondo as a whole is not an ancient martial art, it is an combination of different styles that already existed in Korea. On top of that, if the one who taught you was WTF trained, it may be in fact that they are using newer and borrowed techniques to train with.
