II studied Savate under Philippe Rebillauud in ‘75/76 and went on to form clubs in Coventry and Birmingham. I graded in Crystal Palace with the aid of Herve - a visiting & v.tough professor from France and James Short an ex-army martial artist.

In Lyon I graded to Gant D’Argent (b/belt equuivaleent) in a week-long course.

I fought twice in France representing Engand at the Coubertin in Paris against one of Phlippe’s German pupils and in Viroflay against the French Junior representative.

I am out of touch with the sport now but very interested to know if it still runs in the UK. I may be able to cobble together some more info for you if wanted?
