Actually both of you are wrong, the Budhist monk that came from India, he only suposidly brought yoga into China and then later evolved into Shoalin kung fu; that part could be true, but this happens in 400 C.E. (or A.D.), yet there is proof that there are roots that are deeper in Chinese martial arts. Korea and China were always in war then and the Koreans didn’t have a particular style of fighting, so they captured Chinese soldiers and forced them to teach them their Chinese martial arts, which the Koreans used to make Taekkyun, this all happend around 300 B.C.E (or B.C.), proving that there were martial arts before the Budhist monk came to China.
