I study motobu ha shito-ryu. This style was handed down by the great master kosei kokuba, later renamed kuniba. Soke kokuba studied w/choki motobu.kokuba’s son shogo kuniba studied this style, shitoryu from mabuni,kobudo, jiu-jitsu, iaido, aikido,kendo, kyu-do. Soke kuniba was the 3rd soke of motobu ha shito ryu.

His student, soke richard p. Baillargeon was the us rep. For the seishin kai karate union. Soke baillargeon was one of my fathers teachers and good friends. My father felipe m. Villarreal is a sixth dan(degree)blackbelt of motobu ha shito ryu,also studying w/soke kuniba.

Together w/ my father/teacher we are startingan organization to honor…..soke baillargeon,founder of the national karate and jiu jitsu union.
