Having trained in Uechi Ryu, muay thai and shotokan, I would rate Shotokan as the softest style.
all have benefits and good techniques, but in a street fight type confontation, Uechi Ryu for its straight up ruthless techniques and Muay thai for its vicious knee and elbow strikes are far more effective.
