You forget to mention that Taijiquan has a sparring method which has been developed into a sport known as Pushing Hands, or Tuishou. Tuishou is good for learning combat skills, but if you want to go a step further, learn Dashou, or striking hands. You can find all this info at http://www.taijiquan.org . Free yourselfs ferom the clutches of the Taichi Spirituality cult. Taijiquan is not a health art, or strictly a yoga. It is on the same level of lethality as ninjutsu.
