Two Martial Arts, two different Names, two different Birth Dates, one Country, and the same principals. Tae Kwon Do AND Tang Soo Do are easily BOTH called Korean Karate.
The official name is changed to Tae Kwon Do, but some Kwan masters diagreed, and kept the old name of Tang Soo Do.
