Tatsuo Suzuki Sensei says, years ago in Japan, You could clearly tell what style anyone came from just by watching them fight. Shotokan was deep stance; Goju was also deep but with different stances and so on. The thing now you see at the national and international level is lots of high stances, people actually using footwork and trying some form of tai-sabaki just like Wado.
